Dint' a Torre Bed & Breakfast

The breakfast was the one thing that didn’t suit me, and that’s just my personal preference. It was served at a nearby bar, with a croissant, rusks, jam, and coffee or juice each day. I know that’s the Italian style, but I’d have preferred a larger European hotel-style spread, even if it cost extra. Still, I’d give Dint a Torre 10/10. The place itself really stunned me. Everything seemed new and high quality, and the whole Italian-style house was beautiful. Guests have a separate entrance, and our room had a large balcony with an awning and shutters, all new and well built. The room was cleaned every day, the bed was very comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, and the bathroom was cozy. The hosts were great from before we even arrived. They explained the best ways to get there from Salerno and kept us updated about road closures and bus schedule changes. They welcomed us warmly, then stayed available on WhatsApp around the clock for questions or anything we needed. They even brought us extra plates, knives, and forks for free when we asked. It was easy to get between Pontone and Amalfi. Buses run from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., and the stop is about 200 meters from the property. The place felt like home.

The hosts paid close attention to the details and helped us figure out how to get around the coast. We loved staying at Dint A Torre, and the spotless room and gorgeous views made it hard to leave. Breakfast was delicious, too. It’s a beautiful spot on the Amalfi coast, especially if you enjoy being active outdoors and want to get away from the bustle along the coast. We’d happily stay here again.

Having breakfast on the little terrace was a treat, with mountain views on one side and the sea on the other. Maria and her Mom served fresh food and delicious homemade marmalade, especially the pear. When we arrived in the scorching heat, Maria welcomed us with lemon juice made from lemons grown at home. Both hosts were so sweet and helpful. They gave us useful information about the area, from good restaurants to nearby sights and historic monuments. The facilities were all in good shape, including the air conditioning and hair dryer. Everything felt perfect for the price, and we were very happy with our stay. Thanks!

The room was clean and nicely presented, with its own bathroom and air conditioning, which was a real help in midsummer. Breakfast had a good range of choices, and eating it on the balcony came with a fantastic view across the valley. Getting to the place from Amalfi is reasonably easy by bus or on foot. If you take the bus, ask the driver where to get off, since the stops aren’t all marked. Domenico was away during our stay, so his sister and mother looked after us. They were warm and welcoming enough to make it feel like staying with family. Check-in was simple and communication was really good. We even left with fresh Amalfi lemons to take back to London.
