Palazzo Verone

Michele and his family made me feel at home right from the moment I arrived. Their hospitality was so warm it felt like we'd been friends for years. He knows the area incredibly well and would do anything for his guests. I had an amazing experience and will stay here again.

We were excited about our Airbnb booking at Michele's b&b, but the stay was a big disappointment and left us feeling very uncomfortable. Michele seemed to want all the attention and didn't like that the four of us just wanted a quiet time. He asked us to leave the door wide open so he could “clean.” We weren't comfortable with that, but he came into our room anyway. It wasn't cleaned afterward, though the bed was made. We were given four very small towels. When we asked for fresh ones after 3 days, he said, “no, this is not a hotel.” He also pointed at my friend's face and made a really mean comment about her birthmark. When we left, he ignored us, then ran after us to collect an 18 euro tourist tax that he'd never mentioned before. I asked if he'd help carry our suitcases down the 180 stairs, like he had when we arrived. He arrogantly said, “no, I have other guests.” Eventually he helped, but only after I told him he wasn't being very nice. I hate leaving negative feedback, and we only wanted to enjoy our vacation, but this experience was really upsetting. His ego seemed to get in the way because he wasn't getting attention from four young girls. I wouldn't recommend staying with Michele.
