We’re still on the road, but already miss this magical, timeless farmhouse. Its spacious grounds and animals make it feel like a little paradise for adults and kids, and Andrea and his family were so welcoming. Our Ciliegio apartment was spotless, fresh, and inviting. Eating in the garden just outside the house brought the sense of peace we’d hoped for. The pool felt like a cool little oasis up on the hill. We were sorry to leave for personal reasons, and hope we can come back. Highly recommended if you need a break from everyday stress.

Andrea, the owner, was a great guide for exploring nearby places and sorting out day-to-day needs. The house had plenty of room for our three families, and each bedroom had its own bathroom. There’s a lovely garden where both the children and adults could play, with ping pong and table football. The private pool was perfect for cooling off on hot summer days.

We were a large group, and the setup worked really well: separate units with their own bathrooms and kitchens, plus shared areas for meals and hanging out. There’s a spacious garden for activities and a private pool with a lovely view. Andrea and Federica made us feel very welcome, were helpful, and gave us great tips. Getting there takes your own transport and a drive along a dirt road. In return, you get real quiet, greenery all around, and a beautiful view.

It’s a very good value for the price. We rented the whole large house for our group, with several separate apartments and a private pool. The owner was easy to reach and answered our questions, including how best to get to Florence and where to shop. The place is quite remote, so a car is essential. The long gravel road up to the house would be easier in something larger than a small car.
