Fattoria di Belvedere

After hikes, the pool was just right for unwinding, and the location made a great base for exploring the many attractions in Casentino. We stayed in Il Cipresso, one of the property's nine apartments. It was beautiful, spotless, and fully equipped, with a peaceful setting and panoramic views. Prices felt fair, too. Mr. Giorgio was friendly, always available, and happy to help, sharing useful tips with a smile. It was a genuinely relaxing stay that felt good for both body and mind. Highly recommended!

The apartment itself was nice, but some basics were missing inside: there was no oven or frying pan, and only a few dishes. The garden, pool, children’s playground, and free barbecue would probably be lovely to use in summer. My apartment faced the road to Camaldoli, and it was busier than I expected from early morning. The view is stunning, though, and Camaldoli is very close, so some beautiful trails are only a few minutes away.

The Tuscan-style apartments are beautifully decorated, and the location is peaceful with good parking, a very nice owner, and a large, lovely pool. But maintenance let things down. The hot water system was nearly falling apart and eventually stopped working. The sink mixer was extremely stiff and creaked loudly enough to wake everyone at night. The living room sofas also convert to beds, but they weren’t comfortable. Around the pool, some tiles had sunk and weeds were growing through them. We’d certainly come back if the maintenance problems were sorted out.

Tucked into the Tuscan countryside, it’s a charming choice for families or couples. The well-kept garden feels homey, and the apartments have all the comforts, with antique furnishings that are kept in good condition. We could use a wood-burning oven and barbecue. There’s a huge pool and a jacuzzi, so I’ll definitely return in summer.
