This welcoming rural inn sits at 722 meters above sea level in a natural oasis, among the Casentinesi Forests National Park between Mount Falterona and Campigna. The clear Gorgone stream runs nearby. To find it, take provincial road 310 del Bidente to km 14.7, in the hamlet of Gaviserri, Stia, in the province of Arezzo. The building dates to the 19th century, when it was a coal sorting center for charcoal made in these forests. It was a Carbonari house, then later a Forestry house, before the owners restored it in 2003. Today, it's a cozy inn with a rural feel, where you can stay and eat well, with homemade pasta and genuine products from the woods and these unspoiled surroundings. There are four rooms upstairs, each sleeping four, with private bathrooms and independent heating, so you can relax and recharge surrounded by nature. Downstairs are two large dining rooms, each with a beautiful fireplace, a wood-burning stove, and big windows with breathtaking forest views. The water comes from a thousand-year-old spring flowing out of the rocks.
