This is a good value hotel in a nice spot. I can overlook the negatives when the service is good, and Mrs Sandra took great care of me, including the things I’d forgotten I needed. She’s friendly, kind, and a lovely lady. Be kind and she’ll reflect that back to you. Kindness spreads, so enjoy the epidemic.

The woman who runs the place and the young man on night shift were friendly and helpful. Location, free parking, and the price all worked for my military budget. The room was small and dated, with a twin bed, and a loud buzzer sounded whenever I or a neighbor opened a door. It woke me a few times. The whole place needs an overhaul, though I don’t see that happening soon. The loud teenagers hanging around the business next door were a nuisance, but that wasn’t the hotel’s fault.

Minerva is a reasonably priced place to stay in Sorrento, with a convenient central location, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff. It makes an adequate base for seeing the city and nearby attractions. It isn’t top-tier luxury, but for the price it was a decent stay and let me make the most of the visit.

The room was filthy and disgusting. The toilet had heavy buildup and the seat was so dirty that it looked as if the bathroom hadn’t been properly cleaned in months. Management seemed focused on money, given the 9:30am checkout. I could understand that timing if they actually used it to clean. Before my husband booked, he was told he could have a late checkout because we’d arrived around midnight after a problem at home. Then the guy tried to charge us for it. They need to learn to clean before acting like this is a luxury hotel.
