piccadilly b&b

Easy to find, and the place is clean. The owners are the best, absolutely, and will help you with anything.

Breakfast was generous, and everything was homemade. The hosts are lovely, friendly people who are always ready to help. It's a clean, well-kept and very functional B&B, with private parking. A relaxing treat. I'll be back soon. Thanks, Daniela from Bologna.

The area isn't one of the best, but the place itself is lovely. Those little “bungalows” look beautiful inside, and the staff who run it deserve a special mention for being so friendly.

Dinner was excellent, and the lady cooked everything with real care. The room itself was very nice and comfortable, and the owners seemed helpful. I didn't get much chance to talk with them, but they recommended nearby places to visit several times. A few things affected my stay over that day and night. At 5:30 a.m. I woke to shouting that went on for a couple of hours. I can't say whether it could have been avoided without knowing what happened, and it may have been unusual, but it still impacted my experience. During dinner, I asked several times for a clean glass to replace one that had accidentally got dirty, but it never came. We also had to ask repeatedly for water, which arrived on the third request. I was nearly going to my room to get water from my bottle. I couldn't drink grappa because I'd overindulged a few weeks earlier and felt ill. I don't know whether that was why the water was delayed, perhaps they thought I was refusing hospitality. When a liter finally came for 10 people, I poured the small glass of grappa into the dirty glass so I could use the other one for water, since the clean glass still hadn't arrived after three requests. There was also some resistance when someone asked for a meal without cheese, even though the intolerance had been mentioned early and repeated. Saying that two slices were fine, or that the cheese couldn't be taken off, didn't help. The refusal wasn't meant negatively. If someone is intolerant, dairy can make them sick, depending on how severe it is. I'd give the place another chance and come back for a different experience. I consider these negative things occasional. My rating is 3/5, adequate.
