Never again. The lake view was beautiful, but the campsite was packed and really disgusting. The old toilet buildings and nasty swimming pool left us very disappointed. There were a lot of Dutch people.

The location is the only reason I’m giving one star. It’s a stunning corner of Lake Lugano, but the campsite is large, noisy, dirty, and very run down. The beach strip in front is extremely narrow, there’s a loud disco going well past midnight, and the little wooden chalets are packed almost right against each other. Some are in worse shape than others, depending on the owner. After driving over 1000kms, this was a huge disappointment. Rubbish isn’t separated, and all the bins were overflowing. Reception staff seemed very disorganised and didn’t want to help with complaints, saying these needed to go to the owners, who were in other European countries. At checkout, several angry guests were lined up with complaints.

It’s a nice, family-friendly spot for people who enjoy nature, and the kids loved the pool. The pizza restaurant was very tasty, though eating in was pricey and takeaway was better value. The cottage we rented wasn’t clean.
