Relais de la Costa

We couldn’t use the paddling pools or poolside area when we arrived because the work wasn’t finished. We were told renovations would be done by the next morning, but the sawing and drilling continued all day until we left five nights later. Guests staying by the pool did not get the relaxing setting we’d imagined. On arrival, workmen were still building the steps into the hotel and there were no signs, so it was hard to find. We had booked secure parking, but it seemed to be occupied by building materials, so we had to park five minutes down the road. We didn’t see any smoke alarms, fire alarms, or other visible fire safety measures. Given the recent Grenfell tower tragedy, that concerned us, even though we appreciate things on the continent can be a little more lax than in the UK. The rooms weren’t particularly well soundproofed, especially the bathroom, so we got to know our neighbours better than we’d hoped.

The staff were lovely, super friendly, and helpful, and it was good value for money. I wasn’t personally very fond of Porto Cervo, but I still had an amazing stay at this hotel.

The place itself is nice, but some of the apartments don’t match the pictures available online. Some furniture was damaged or dirty too. Overall, it doesn’t feel worth the price.

A nice, clean hotel with nice staff. The manager was awesome and gave us a good deal. It’s near the port and market, with a small bar and nice breakfast. Good for a relaxing, romantic stay.
