Being right in the heart of the city made it easy to walk everywhere, and we loved the lively atmosphere. Just arrive early if you need to park. Otherwise, finding a spot can be a real hassle or mean driving a long way. The typical one-bedroom apartment is on the main street, opposite the supermarket, rather than on Via A Mozart. It’s windowless apart from skylights, and the bedroom does have air conditioning. The bathroom is spacious, with a walk-in shower, and the apartment was clean. There’s also a small, well-insulated outdoor area where we could enjoy the parrot. The host lives in the adjoining house and was charming, smiling, and helpful whenever we called. We had long chats with him, and laughed a lot over breakfast with the early risers. He’s unbeatable at the Adams Family melody 🤣😍. The downside is the lack of Wi-Fi. Once inside, there’s no signal at all, not even 3G or 4G, and that really needs fixing. A small router would do it. Some basics for guests are missing too, like a bath mat, soap, shower gel, cleaning products, a sponge, or even a bottle of water at reception. Those little things make a difference.
