The area is wonderfully quiet, and the town centre is only about five minutes away by car. The apartments are modern and comfortable, with balconies opening onto a private garden. Everything is looked after and works as it should. The nearby coast is lovely for a walk, especially at sunset, and I'd happily recommend the place.

The location is peaceful, though getting into Porto Cesareo for a walk means driving. I wouldn't suggest biking there, since the roads don't have bike lanes. Torre Squillace is much closer, about five minutes by bike, and it's one of the prettiest beaches around. There's also a Conad under a kilometre away, plus a little grocery shop in Torre Squillace. There isn't a reception, but the hosts are easy to reach whenever something comes up. Inside, the mini apartment has pretty much everything: an induction hob and dishes, a comfortable bed, working air conditioning (though Salento is usually windy), a table and chairs, fridge-freezer, and a compact bathroom with a good-sized shower. There's a roomy veranda with a table and umbrella that's handy to take to the beach. Free bikes and a washing machine are available, as are garden loungers and a barbecue area. The barbecue setup isn't supplied, so bring charcoal and anything else you need. I just got back from Casa La Strea and think it's absolutely worth staying here. I'd recommend it.

We felt at home from the start during our 11 days here. The apartment was comfortable, nicely kept, and made for a really lovely stay. A big thank you to the Vivi Salento staff, who were friendly, helpful, and quick to respond. Their professionalism made everything even better. We'd highly recommend it and hope to come back!
