Hotel Aurora

The room was quiet and comfortable, with everything needed for a relaxing stay, and breakfast was excellent. The staff were so friendly and always ready to help or give advice. The property feels welcoming, is well furnished, and is meticulously maintained. It was a truly pleasant stay, and I’d definitely return. I recommend it to anyone wanting a worry-free vacation.

Mr. Antonio’s cooking was excellent, carefully prepared with quality seafood. We also really enjoyed the company and helpfulness of the family, and Ezio and his wife deserve thanks too. We spent four lovely days at the family-run Aurora tree. Laura, her husband Antonio, and their children were incredibly kind and made sure everything was taken care of, so we felt at home. Highly recommended!

The only drawback was breakfast. It was plentiful if you asked, but it wasn’t the usual buffet-style breakfast with a nice view that you might expect from a 4-star hotel. Still, it was manageable. Hotel Aurora is about 800 meters from the center of Porto Cesareo, a good fit for anyone looking for a walking holiday. Our room was spotless and spacious, and the lovely family running the hotel were always attentive and friendly. From the moment we walked in, we felt at home, with smiles, hospitality, and care. We’ll be back.

The sea was the one thing that helped us relax a little. We stayed for a week, from August 25, 2024, to September 1, 2024. The welcome was warm, and the owners were kind and helpful, but in my opinion the hotel had a lot of shortcomings. My room was uncomfortable, with hardly any space between the bed and closet. The leather headboard was old and broken, and so was the toilet seat. There was no amenity kit, just a horrible shower gel, which didn’t feel right for a 4-star hotel. The shower flooded the whole place as soon as I finished shampooing. My husband and I didn’t mention it, and even scooped up the water with towels. The towels were another issue: we had to ask for an extra one. Breakfast was the highlight, though it was served behind a bar counter. You could ask for things, but I was annoyed at having to request a croissant, cappuccino, and so on, especially with plenty of space available to set it up differently. I thanked Pierluigi, the owner’s son, for being kind and friendly, and I honestly told him how disappointed I was. Would I return? Absolutely never under these conditions.
