Salvatore, the owner and host, was always ready to help and made us feel at home. The apartment at B&B Pallazo Melluso is beautifully and stylishly furnished, with the feeling of staying in a palace, plus modern amenities. We spent eight nights there in spring 2025 and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's centrally located on Porto Empedocle's main street, with plenty of restaurants nearby. Weekend evenings can get a little noisy, but we enjoyed watching Sicilian life from the scenic balcony.

In the low season, we had the whole place and its setting to ourselves, which made the stay feel like living in a movie scene. The B&B is on the town's main street, about a 15-minute drive from the beach. There are only 4 rooms, and the architecture is a work of art. The former ambassador's apartment still has so much original furniture and artwork. Its ceilings, walls, and decor felt like another world, and waking up to the ceiling murals was magical. Salvatore and his wife were extremely friendly and helpful, sharing their history and passion with guests and taking great care of us. One of the best B&B experiences I've ever had.

We found the place by chance because the photos caught our eye, and it lived up to them. The room was clean, tastefully furnished, and had a comfortable bed. The whole place has a rustic, cozy feel. We visited in August and found it a wonderful place to stay, with lovely hosts. It's right on Porto Empedocle's pedestrian zone, so evenings and nights can be quite lively. Camilleri's birthplace is right next door, and the place feels authentic. Parking is convenient, and southern Sicily's sights are easy to reach from here. Salvatore, thanks for the good conversations, tips, hospitality, and morning coffee. All the best for the future. We'd definitely recommend staying here.
