We were looking forward to our stay, but the room and the experience didn’t feel worth the price we paid. Our family room, which was also the disabled room, was on the ground floor. I’d expected some kind of sea view, but the room was dark and claustrophobic, with faded windows. We couldn’t open them because they faced the cafe seating area and other guests could look straight in. The air conditioning gave us trouble twice, and there was no manual; reception told us not to open the windows because that would switch it off. The furniture was poor quality, and the room generally needed more care. One receptionist in particular was unpleasant. I waited while she typed, then she looked at me and carried on, so I had to ask if she could help. While dealing with me, she also turned to another guest. The breakfast and bar staff were the nicest people there and very helpful. It was a shame, since we’d been so keen to stay.

We enjoyed the balcony, the separate living area, and the bedroom, with the beach right outside. The waves breaking on shore were a lovely bonus. We liked the hotel and its location so much that we tried to rearrange other bookings to return during our trip, but couldn’t make it work. We’d definitely stay again.

There were 12 of us staying at Life Hotel for our exchange student’s wedding, and we all had a great time. We loved the location, found the hotel clean, and the staff were very friendly. We’ll be back. Thank you, Dave Nowlan

We paid more for a room with a veranda and a view of the Adriatic, and it was worth it. The hotel, staff, location, and service were all excellent, with easy access to the board walk, town, and restaurants.
