Affittacamere L'arcobaleno

I've returned to Affittacamere L'Arcobaleno several times for study and work, and the owners, Antonio and his mother, are consistently kind and helpful. They run the property with real competence and dedication. It's well maintained, in a peaceful spot near the center and Porto Torres waterfront, with shops and businesses close by. Public parking is plentiful around the property, and the value for money is excellent. The rooms are bright, welcoming, spacious, and air-conditioned, with private bathrooms and modern, functional furnishings. They're well equipped, and the rooms and linens are always thoroughly clean. I also appreciated the in-room breakfast croissants and kettle with a small selection of herbal teas. There's a mini-fridge with water included in the price, plus other drinks for a fee, and useful complimentary toiletries in the bathroom. Getting around is easy: the train station is just a few dozen meters away, with trains across the island. The Intermodal Center nearby has car rentals and buses to the best-known beaches in northern Sardinia. The port has ferries to Asinara, Corsica, Genoa, and Spain. You can also walk a few steps to the Roman ruins of ancient Turris Libisonis, where modern Porto Torres was built, and to the Antiquarium Turritano, the museum that keeps the artifacts found there. Antonio was great and gave us tips on beaches and things to see. We had a lovely stay, both with him and at the accommodation. The room was clean and well looked after, breakfast was very nice, and the center is close by. I highly recommend it.

The rooms are spotless and tidy, and having a coffee machine right there is hard to beat. Antonio's hospitality is a sure thing, whether you've planned ahead or not. Highly recommended, and then some.
