Casa Emy

The upper-floor apartment was practically new, with well-kept windows and doors, kitchen, and sink. The microwave and refrigerator were in perfect shape. There was a big double bedroom with a four-door wardrobe, dresser, and bedside tables, plus a living room with a kitchenette, table, TV cabinet, and two single beds for the kids. It had Wi-Fi and air conditioning, though we didn't use the latter during the first week of September. The kitchen gear was the main shortcoming. There was just one bowl, no slotted spoon or spatula, one large bread knife, and only a single medium-small frying pan, which meant cooking for four had to be done in batches. Plates, cutlery, and glasses were enough. There weren't enough dry garbage bags for a week with four people either, apart from one for paper and a couple for plastic and organic waste. It's a small two-story house just outside the center, with private parking. We entered our unit by its own staircase. The shared courtyard had a table, barbecue, double sink, and a spot for drying clothes. It was very quiet except for a rooster crowing at all hours. The bathroom was tiny, but manageable for a short vacation. Despite those few drawbacks, we had a really nice, quiet week.
