Hotel Tirrena

The location is beautiful, the facilities clean, and the food was nice, but I can't recommend this hotel because of its cancellation rules and attitude toward guests. Two or three weeks before arrival, I needed to cut one week from my stay. I kept the booking for the second week, yet they charged me 50% of the cancelled week, including half-board. When I asked if even part of that could be refunded, they refused, citing “house policy,” and showed no understanding. The hotel was fully booked, so my cancellation hadn't caused them a loss. My room was about 200m from the main building. As a solo traveler, I had to walk alone each night after dinner along a dark, unlit path between fields. The room also had no WIFI because it was so far away. I'd strongly suggest booking somewhere else, at a hotel that cares about its guests.

The rooms are peaceful, and there’s a nice pool. Breakfast and dinner were delicious, with a table overlooking the sea. This is a small, cozy hotel in the countryside of Elba, just five minutes from a little rocky beach with dried sea wheats. Lovely sandy beaches are a ten-minute drive away.

The bikes are great, and Rosario is a lovely guide who knows the best trails, plus a secret spot or two. 😁👍👍👍

A perfect place to stay if you're cycling around Elba. The staff are very kind, and breakfast is great.
