Parco delle Ginestre

Pretty nice.

The residence is a few kilometres from Portoferraio, in a quiet area that’s still handy for getting to the beaches around Portoferraio and Capoliveri. Our apartment was comfortable, with a living room with a bedroom, kitchenette, and bathroom. There’s parking in the shared area. I’d recommend it if you want a peaceful break surrounded by greenery.

The kitchen had only the bare essentials, three forks, three knives, and three teaspoons, so a few more utensils would’ve helped. Still, the studio was spacious and comfortable, with a double bed and a single, a bathroom, and a large outdoor area with a table, chairs, deckchairs, and a clothesline. There’s also a big parking lot next to the house. My girlfriend and I stayed six nights in early September. The apartments are in the same house across two floors, and ours was on the ground floor. It was a good experience overall. One suggestion: guests could be given the choice to pay the €50 cleaning fee on site or clean the place themselves.

The studio was simply furnished but perfectly livable, and it was very clean. The location is great for reaching the island’s prettiest beaches, and it’s quiet. The kitchen was short on equipment, and we had to ask for burned-out bulbs and the refrigerator bottle rack to be replaced. Those requests were handled promptly. Highly recommended.
