Villa Simo

We spent three days on Elba and stayed in this lovely detached B&B. The shabby chic decor was beautiful, and there was loads of room. The owner was kind, and the price was fair. The garden around the villa was what stayed with me most. There’s a wrought-iron dining table under wisteria and a stone fireplace for grilling. We lit a fire in it one evening, which made a great atmosphere. There’s also a discreet sunbathing spot with two loungers, plus lots of flowering plants in the sun. Inside, the living room was comfortable, with a latest-generation TV and free apps like Netflix. The WiFi worked perfectly for us. The big, functional kitchen had a table for eight. There were two bedrooms: one had a very large bathroom, while the other had a smaller, well-kept bathroom at the entrance. It was equipped with what we needed, including a hairdryer and washing machine.
