The staff were friendly and courteous, and there’s no parking onsite, though street parking is available. The residence is quiet and has a garden with an outdoor shower by the gate, giving quick access to Scalo Mandrie beach. The sea-view two-room apartment is comfortable. It has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with a sofa bed that can be set up as a double or two singles. There’s also a living area with a comfortable table, kitchenette, and another sofa bed like the one in the bedroom. A small terrace sits just outside the entrance, with room for a table and chairs or for drying beach towels. Air conditioning is only in the living area, but it can cool the bedrooms too if you leave the doors open. One nuisance is having to empty the condensation collection bin, or the balcony could flood.

The owner was always very kind and helpful. The residence sits right on the seafront, with a lovely view of the sea, boats coming and going, and both sunrise and sunset. At busy times, though, the evening events in the square in front of the sea and residence are too loud. They seem to run almost nonstop, from dusk until very late. Other drawbacks were the spiral staircase, no elevator, how hard it was to find parking, and kitchen utensils that were old-fashioned or very worn.
