Portoscuso was such a charming, food-loving community, and this was our favourite place to stay in all of Italy and Sardinia. Francesco and Joelle made us feel welcome from the start and were professional and supportive throughout our holiday. The B&B had the warm, private, relaxing feel we hoped for, with service to match. We really enjoyed the activities Joelle suggested and the places she pointed us to. She was kind, attentive, and available whenever we needed her, with recommendations that took the weather, wind, and our plans into account. The property is quiet and set apart from other homes, with plenty of outdoor space. Supermarkets are nearby, and the center and transport links to other towns are easy to reach. Our rooms were in the basement of Joelle’s house, each with its own bathroom and private entrance. The furnishings were nice, though one room was smaller than the other two. Since there were four of us, it felt a little unfair that those in the smaller room paid the same as the people with the larger room and more storage, though for a short stay either room works fine. There’s a large shared breakfast room with tables, a stovetop, and everything needed to cook. A soundproofed door separates it from the rooms, and the big refrigerator nearby was handy for storing food for the next few days. Breakfast was plentiful and had a good variety. We felt Joelle’s presence during the holiday without her ever getting in the way.

Francesco and Joelle were discreet, kind hosts, and the room was clean and well organized. We stayed for a week and felt at home sharing the common spaces. They gave us practical tips right away, including suggesting the Bendu app to check the wind and pick a beach each day. The location was peaceful, and breakfast brought something different each morning. We had a really positive stay and want to thank them. We’d recommend it.

Portopaglietto beach is about 2.5 km away, and the property itself sits in a convenient spot surrounded by greenery. Our spacious room was spotless and had air conditioning, a TV, an en-suite bathroom, and a very comfortable double bed. The owners were genuinely helpful and kind. Highly recommended.
