Hotel della Baia

The rooms are nice and functional, with 70s decor. The restaurant serves delicious, creative food, mostly seafood, with vegan choices too, though it's expensive. Service at breakfast was the problem for me as an American, or possibly because we wore shorts while hiking the Cinque Terres. I felt consistently discriminated against: after three reminders they still forgot our coffee while other guests were served, and we were seated at the back or in the lobby instead of the restaurant. It's a shame, though maybe understandable with current politics. 🥲

Our room was clean and nice, with a huge balcony we really appreciated. The bathroom was small but clean and consistently supplied with essentials. Staff were polite, friendly, and ready to help. Breakfast wasn't a favorite: there weren't many choices, and refills came slowly when things ran out. The hotel itself was fine, but the remote location let it down. There was little nearby, and no transport available or advice from staff on getting around, so reaching activities and places to eat was difficult. That lack of local guidance and transport made the stay less enjoyable.

I spent a weekend in Room 308 and came away feeling as rested and relaxed as if I'd had a long holiday. The staff were always friendly and courteous, the restaurant food was tasty, and the view from my terrace was magnificent. I spent nearly all my free time enjoying it. If you like seafood, try the fish menu.

A family friendly, personal hotel with a small village feel, nice walking spots, and a lovely waterfront location. The staff were nice, the place clean, the beds good, and the service included an electric kick scooter. Breakfast was smaller than a continental one but very tasty. We stayed with kids and recommend it. Thanks!
