Albergo Pensione Villa Verde

The WiFi barely worked in my room, so I took my laptop to the lobby, where the signal was best. The older woman seemed bothered either by me working there or by my laptop being plugged into the power point. I couldn’t work out what the issue was, and it felt strange. The elderly couple who manage or own the place seemed abrasive, even though I think they wanted to be friendly. The room was decent, with hot water and a nice balcony overlooking the valley and some of the sea. The Interno Positano bus stop is right outside the B&B. Nearby there’s a reasonably priced pizza place and a cafe next to the Grottino Azurro Italian restaurant, with very good sweet and savory treats.

Rosaria was the sweetest, most attentive host, and she took such good care of us throughout our visit. We felt welcome and at home. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and has breathtaking views, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We can’t wait to return, this will be our go-to place in Positano. Thanks for such a memorable stay!

The owners really care about their guests, and staying there felt like having a home away from home. You even get your own sweet Nona. The view from our room and the breakfast patio was unmatched, and breakfast came with fresh-baked croissants every day. There’s also a restaurant a little uphill with great prices and food that’s to die for. Such an incredible place, and a must-stay for me. Just be ready for lots of walking! I wish we’d had more time. The rooms were nice and authentic, with a beautiful view, and the stay itself was pleasant. Still, we felt very uncomfortable because the owners seemed to be in our space so much. When we arrived, they asked four times for the second guest’s passport to be brought upstairs. We knew we had to bring it, but being urged three more times made us uneasy. The next morning, as we were already leaving, the woman told us to put the key in our bag, even though I’d already put it in my handbag. It felt odd, and there were a few more moments like that. By the end, we were glad to leave, which isn’t how a holiday should feel. On our last day, the son was very hospitable, unlike the people who were probably his parents. The rooms were nice, the view was lovely, and I think it was worth the price.
