Hotel Buca di Bacco

I’d come back in a heartbeat. The people here clearly enjoy their work, and their care made the stay so enjoyable. At breakfast, Vincenzo and Giovani were smiley, attentive, and quick to help. The cleaning ladies, whose names I didn’t get, kept our rooms impeccable, and the front desk team gave us one of the warmest welcomes and send-offs we’ve had at any hotel. Highly recommend this beautiful place. The hotel puts you right on the beach, with stunning views of the sea and coast, and the newly renovated rooms are so charming. It makes you feel immersed in the beauty of Positano.

I’m genuinely torn. The hotel itself is beautiful, the location is unbeatable, and much of the service was top-tier. We had a wedding there and spent thousands of dollars a night, so I expected a more elevated guest experience. The property gets 10/10 from me, but I’m giving three stars overall because of how the entrance staff made us feel. The front door and security experience felt judgmental, as if we were being watched or assumed to be doing something wrong. I had to explain who was coming to my room, and our guests had to show ID. When I said I might leave early, staff pressed me to commit to someone taking my bags. Then I left earlier in a different car, and they seemed upset with me. We were never loud, rude, or a problem, yet at times we felt like second-class guests rather than people who had paid to stay there. The hotel and much of its staff were amazing, but the entrance experience felt disrespectful and condescending. I’m torn between five stars for the hotel and zero for that treatment.

The breakfast was one of our favorites on the trip, especially the food selection and breakfast staff. The front desk team were so helpful, and the rooms were wonderful with incredible views. The hotel is right by the beach, with easy access to the marina, shops, and restaurants. One of our absolute favorites, and we’ll definitely stay again when we return to Positano. I can’t say anything bad about it!

Breakfast on the terrace over the ocean was unforgettable, and the restaurant was a highlight too, with delicious food, lovely service, and one of the most beautiful settings we’ve experienced. From the moment we arrived, everyone at Hotel Buca di Bacco made us feel welcome, cared for, and at home. The hotel is beautiful and right in the heart of Positano, with breathtaking sea views. Every detail has the charm and elegance of the Amalfi Coast. The kindness, professionalism, and warmth of the whole staff made a real difference, and they went above and beyond to make our stay special. We highly recommend Hotel Buca di Bacco and can’t wait to return.
