The hotel restaurant is very expensive, though breakfast is fine. The rooms have fantastic views, especially if you get a balcony. There are steps from the port, but if you arrive in Positano by taxi or shuttle, you can get there directly from the road. If you’re up for the steps to and from the port, it’s a great location.

We loved our hotel choice in Positano. The views were gorgeous, the room was beautiful, and we had our own balcony. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and they had breakfast boxes waiting for us to take along on the day we left.

The bed was stiff and the pillows were very flat. Breakfast was underwhelming, mostly croissants, and if they’d run out by around 9-10, there was nothing left to eat. The Wi-Fi didn’t work in the room at all, though it connected when we went down to the restaurant for breakfast. We still had a nice stay. It’s a beautiful hotel in a great Positano location, and one of the more affordable places to stay there. The staff were welcoming, the room was lovely, and we had a great view of the ‘pyramid of Positano’.

We had room 61, which we like to think was the best one. It had a lovely corner window looking over the town and a balcony with views of both the sea and town. The hotel’s location is hard to beat, and the views are incredible. The room was clean and lovely, the shower was huge, and the staff were exceptional. Breakfast was simple but lovely. We couldn’t fault this fantastic hotel!

The view has to be the best in Positano, and the restaurant Don Giovanni's is exceptional. Everything was extremely clean and comfortable, and the staff went above and beyond what I expected. Perfect location, 20 out of 10! Thank you, Albergo California. I’ll always come back to you 💙
