Hostel Brikette

The Hostel warned me about the stairs, but I ignored it and climbed all the way up. Be ready for a serious workout. Once you're there, it's beautiful.

This is the best hostel I've stayed in, even after a month backpacking around Europe. The staff are so kind and make you feel like family. The rooms were cute, clean, and really nice, and the showers and bathrooms were spotless. It felt very safe here. We spent hours chatting with people in the great common area on the terrace. I can't say enough good things, it's worth way more than five stars!

I loved the terrace, the view, the breakfast, and the location. The hostel rooms were clean, and it was easy to meet people and chat. If you want some peace and quiet, that's possible too, it's up to you. The staff especially made this a really nice experience. Serena and Alessandro were exceptional, always helping whenever I needed something. I'd never experienced such hospitality, patience, and warmth from hostel workers. Thank you so much. I'll carry this lovely memory from Italy with me.

The view from this spot at the top of Positano makes all those stairs worthwhile. The superior room had a private balcony and a nice attached bathroom, with two toilets and two sinks separate from the shower. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was tasty but very expensive, so book through the website to get their offers. The main drawbacks were the old-style bunk beds, which had no privacy curtains, and the lack of shelves, individual reading lights, or USB ports and plugs, things most other hostels have. Still, I'd recommend it, and it makes the Amalfi Coast accessible for travellers on a budget.
