The terrace views may be the best in Positano, and check-in was great: friendly, welcoming, and full of useful information. Breakfast was very good, and the man serving coffee was lovely. Parking cost €70 a night, but the attendants were great. We only stayed one night at Hotel Posa Posa, in mid October, and for the price the rest was disappointing. At 8pm, the evening restaurant manager seemed put out that we had no reservation, even though only two tables in the 40-table restaurant were occupied and there were four staff. We were told we could choose between two tables, neither with a nice view. I was too annoyed to order dinner, so we sat where we wanted and had a pleasant drink instead. The Indian man who served us was charming. Only one other couple came in all evening. Our room had no window. Its balcony door opened onto a staircase at the side of the building, and the AC wasn’t adequate even in October, so I doubt it would be useful in summer. The TV looked like a 90s PC monitor; there was no fridge or tea and coffee setup. The WiFi wouldn’t connect, which I can’t remember happening to me in the last 20 years. Getting to the fifth floor was awkward: the elevator only went to the fourth, then we had to walk through the restaurant to another elevator, or take the stairs. The so-called swimming pool was about 4 by 4 metres, and I doubt there was room to actually swim. The shower pressure was so weak that water dribbled back to the wall, so I had to use the handheld shower with one hand. The bathroom extractor fan didn’t work, either. A tissue wouldn’t stick to it.

The one good thing was the breathtaking view from the breakfast area on the fourth floor. Otherwise, this was honestly the worst room I’ve ever stayed in. We chose this hotel because it has direct street access. Most places around here mean climbing lots of stairs, and we had big bags. The price is extremely high for the location, and the stay was terrible. There were mosquitoes, spiders of different sizes, and other bugs in the room. The rooms and hallways felt dirty and poorly maintained. Breakfast was far below average. After what I saw of the hygiene, I couldn’t trust the food, so I only took a yogurt. The coffee was horrible and smelled dirty, with a very bad taste. We tried to cancel and go to another B&B. I wouldn’t have minded paying extra, but I wanted a clean room and clean sheets, and they declined our request. I’d never stay here again and can’t recommend it.

We’ll definitely return to Hotel Posa Posa and recommend it to our friends. The reception staff were always ready to help with requests, and the rooms were clean with lovely views. Breakfast was delicious, with excellent service and a breathtaking terrace view while we ate. A fantastic stay.

The view from our private balcony was the thing we’ll remember most: the Mediterranean’s blue water, Positano’s colorful houses, and sunsets turning orange and pink. Our room was spacious, clean, and charming, with traditional Mediterranean decor. Hotel Posa Posa is peaceful, set far enough from the crowds for some quiet, while shops, restaurants, and the beach are still within walking distance. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us warmly and offered helpful tips. It was one of the most unforgettable stays of my travels, and I’d recommend it for a romantic, relaxing trip with postcard-worthy views.
