The location makes it so easy to get around, and the staff were great. We had a really cute room with a lovely patio, sea views, and a lemon tree overhead while we lounged in the sun. A taxi can drop you off without needing a porter for your bags if you're arriving from another town. Coming by ferry would be different. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10!

The room was really nice, and having a large balcony made the price feel okay, though I thought the stay cost a bit more than it should have. One thing that annoyed me was having to pay the city tax in cash. This was the only hotel that required it, and since I’d been able to use a card everywhere else, I hadn't brought cash.

Waking up to the coastline view from our terrace was a highlight, especially with breakfast brought to us there in the morning. The room at Hotel Il Gabbiano was lovely, with a small Jacuzzi, a beautiful terrace, a comfortable bed, and a spotless, well-equipped bathroom. The staff made us feel very welcome, and the whole stay was unforgettable. We'd come back in a heartbeat.

We were unsure at first, so don't let the photos put you off. Il Gabbiano is a small, family-run boutique hotel, and it turned out to be extremely clean and comfortable, with a very friendly team. The rooms have incredible views, and service was great. After weeks of travelling, we were glad to finish our trip in Italy here. Breakfast is brought to your room at the time you choose, which we liked much more than a buffet. Eggs and bacon cost extra, but the price is fair and there are plenty of other choices. They also leave bottles of water each day, a small thing that makes a difference. There's a bar by reception overlooking the view. If you arrive by taxi or with a driver, they can stop right outside, so you don't have to carry bags up stairs. Bus and taxi options are nearby too.

The room was spotless, and the view from it was so beautiful it looked like a painting. Victorio was a fantastic host at Il Gabbiano, and having breakfast served right in the room made the stay feel especially nice. It was a memorable visit.
