We felt at home throughout our stay, thanks to Luisa and Francesca, who were welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The room was clean and spacious, with a balcony and a lovely view. Breakfast was included, just the right amount to start the day, and it was served in the Bar/restaurant they own below the B&B. They also offer weekend dinners for an extra cost, and their pizza was among the best I had in Positano. Before we arrived, they sent us information about getting to Montepertuso. It's 15-20 minutes from central Positano by bus, and the B&B is a minute's walk downhill from the stop. There are two restaurants and a grocery store nearby. We recommend walking down to Positano at least once, about a 30-minute walk, to take in the beautiful views. Thank you both for everything! Andrea and Albert

We loved this B&B. The family was extremely accommodating, and the room was just as we expected. It's north of Positano, so our stay felt more authentic and away from the tourist craziness down in town. A bus stop, mini mart, and two great restaurants are just a minute or two uphill. The little town is lovely, and the hosts are amazing. I'd definitely recommend it if you want somewhere to relax.

The owners are incredibly lovely and hospitable, and the property itself is beautiful. Its spectacular location and view, a little off the beaten path from positano, made for a peaceful, relaxing stay. It's still easy to get down to town when you want to. I'll recommend pertuso to anyone looking for an authentic, relaxing place in positano. Can't wait to return.

Our room was very clean, the views were spectacular, and everyone in town was exceptionally friendly. Louisa welcomed us like family from the moment we arrived, and her mother and siblings made us feel the same way. One day, while we were having espresso at the bar, her father came over to talk. We learned he'd lived for a short time in the town where my husband grew up, and his brother owned the local pizza shop. We hadn't realized we were visiting during Italy’s Independence Day. One night we sat outside with local wine, listening to a very talented neighbor sing Bessame, Volare, and New York, New York. The stairs to Posatano were also a good way to get a workout. Il Pertuso made our visit unforgettable, and I couldn't recommend this bed and breakfast more.

We were thrilled with our choice, though we realized afterward that luck played a part. It's hard to understand the area's topography and logistics until you arrive. This family-run B&B is in the charming township of Monte Pertuso, high on the mountain above Positano. By vehicle, it's about 10 minutes into town. Nocelle is farther east in the high country and closer to the Path of the Gods, but we think it's too far from Positano unless you have a hang glider. Praiano is lovely and cheaper than Positano. In our view, Positano is a crowded tourist trap, worth half a day or a visit to catch a ferry. Luisa, Francesca, and their family were delightful, friendly, and helpful. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-appointed, and the excellent breakfast set us up for a full day of walking, sightseeing, and exploring. We counted 1250 steps down to Positano. We made the return trip once, but had a scooter, which we'd recommend if you have the skill and courage. Otherwise, regular buses go through Monte Pertuso if you don't have a car. The prices are a bargain compared with some overrated, ridiculously expensive places around Positano. They also have a pizza restaurant and bar, where we ate often. The best restaurant we tried around Positano was La Tagliata, worth every penny of about EUR45 each for an authentic local meal and one of the best views on Earth. Most of the area's restaurants seemed hugely overpriced to me, with mains at EUR60+.
