Maison Don Rafe in Positano

The way we were treated at checkout left our holiday on a very sour note. An hour before checkout, the cleaning women were already outside the door, repeatedly peering through the glass. They came in at exactly 10:00 AM and immediately threatened to call the police because we hadn’t left by 10:01. One of them then said in a very unpleasant tone that she’d charge us 50 euros because we had left the place “very dirty.” We’d already paid a €100 cleaning fee when booking, and shouldn’t have to clean during our holiday. We left it as we found it. I wouldn’t recommend this accommodation; there are better and cheaper options nearby. The rest of the stay had plenty of problems too. The staff were unfriendly. The shower had empty shampoo and shower gel bottles, and there was hair all over the sink and shower. We had no toilet paper on the first day, and the cleaning lady didn’t deal with it until the next day. There’s no nearby supermarket to buy some, and toilet paper shouldn’t be missing at this price. The front door squeaked badly, the drain didn’t work on day one, there were no paper towels in the kitchen, and the safe didn’t work either.
