Villa Mary Suites

The location gives you that incredible view, though it also means getting used to a lot of walking. It’s about 10 minutes down to the centre of Positano, and the trip back takes longer with all the stairs. If walking is difficult for you, I’d rethink the itinerary. That said, the stay was fantastic. Taziana was a star, so kind and caring that she made the whole experience better. Our room was cute, very clean, and had everything we needed. Breakfast on the balcony was hard to beat, and there’s a small pool where you can lounge and enjoy the view. We’d absolutely stay here again if we come back to Positano.

We spent two nights at Villa Mary for our honeymoon, and the best part was relaxing by the pool or on our balcony, looking out at those amazing cliffs. The room was great and breakfast was delicious. The staff were all pleasant and attentive. Tiziana helped with everything we needed, including finding last-minute transport on our last day when bad weather cancelled the ferries. We had a wonderful stay and can’t recommend Villa Mary enough.

The owners were so helpful, answering all our questions and making dinner reservations. The pool was wonderful too. Breakfast was phenomenal, and you can have it on the patio or on your room’s balcony if it has one. Our room was great, and many rooms apparently have a better sea view than the description suggests. Everything was fantastic from start to finish. We’d definitely stay again.

The hotel is very pretty, but I wouldn’t choose it for a family with children. My child was asked to keep his voice down and not make noise in the pool, even though nobody else was there. The owner might want to consider making it an adults-only B&B. Breakfast took 40 minutes to arrive, and checkout was at 10 am. My child was starving. When I asked for a little extra time to check out, they couldn’t give it to us, so we had to eat in a rush. That’s not comfortable with kids, or on holiday. If you’re travelling with children, I’d pick somewhere else.
