La Cuntana Bed and breakfast

I haven't stayed at B&B La Cuntana myself, but I took two friends there for a weekend and saw the rooms. Each one was different, beautiful, elegant, and spotless. My friends, who are from Rome, had very positive things to say, especially about the homemade breakfast pastries, the quiet traffic-free historic center, and the comfortable beds. Their stay made me want to spend a night there too, even though we live in the same city. Thanks to Simona, a woman of rare refinement.

The location is near the center but still quiet. The rooms are nicely furnished, with a new bathroom, and there's a small kitchen for preparing your own food. A supermarket is three minutes away.

The location is excellent, and Simona, the owner, was very kind. It's a simple place, but inexpensive and clean. The rooms upstairs are smaller, though quieter and recently renovated. It's fairly close to public parking, which is essential if you're staying in the historic center.

There's no parking, and getting here is difficult because it's in a restricted traffic zone. They should tell guests that ahead of time instead of promising secure parking and a generous breakfast. You risk getting fined, and breakfast was just a coffee and a discount-store Plucake.
