We couldn’t lock our room because the door lock was broken, and when we struggled with it, we were disparagingly told we were too stupid to use it properly. The hotel manager was very unfriendly and unhelpful throughout. We weren’t greeted or offered a second coffee at breakfast. Then, about 15 minutes before 10 a.m., we poured ourselves a glass of water before our hike. The manager hurriedly cleared everything away and pointed out that the buffet was closed.

The owners were lovely and a pleasure to chat with. It’s a cozy place close to the ski resort, and the breakfasts were amazing. We’ll definitely come back!

If you’re skiing in Campitello or canazei without a car, keep an eye on the ski bus schedule. This place feels quite isolated otherwise.
