We came through Sicily by bicycle in December and loved this quiet, beautiful place. In the old barn there’s a shelter with tables, beer benches, a refrigerator and even a stove. The owners are very friendly, and there’s a lovely view over Pozzallo. In the morning, donkeys, horses or cows wake you up. It’s the sort of place where you end up staying longer than you planned.
A lovely place to camp and relax, with nice, big rooms. You can buy their olive oil too. Loved our stay!
The hosts were lovely and helpful, and the spot itself was peaceful with no interruptions. I pitched my tent between two olive trees and had a chance to simply rest. I heard you can take a ferry to Malta from here, though I didn’t go.
The owners were the highlight for us, such warm and welcoming people that they made the stay a real pleasure. The rooms were spotless and thoughtfully furnished, with care given to the little details and amenities. Though it feels tucked away in the countryside, the property is only a short walk from central Pozzallo. It’s also handy for beaches in both the Ragusa and Portopalo directions.
We had a lovely sea view and plenty of quiet, while Pozzallo’s center was still only about a kilometer away. This is a basic campsite, but it has what you need, including a shared kitchen area with a fridge. The bathrooms were very clean. There are just two toilets, one hot shower, and two cold ones. No bar, though Mr. Filippo is very kind and will let you buy a few essentials from him. We stayed two nights in a tent and would recommend it.
