We were just stopping for the night before our ferry to Malta. The hotel was clean, modern and a 10 minute walk from the train station. Downtown was about the same distance, though there are only a few places to eat close by. Since we had to leave before breakfast, the desk clerk arranged a takeaway bag with a muffin and an orange. They also booked a driver to the port for 7:00 am. The morning clerk knew we needed a car then and kept texting to check it was coming. It arrived at 7:05, with the desk clerk keeping watch for it.

The room was modern and really clean, but traffic noise was quite noticeable. We were staying bed and breakfast, and I don’t recall seeing an evening meal option. Breakfast was basic, and you had to ask for coffee since there wasn’t a machine. It’s around a 15 to 20 minute walk to the station. Watch out for the uneven pavement just below the hotel entrance.

We had a relaxing stay in this new, modern hotel, and the room was fresh and clean. Dinner was delicious, with Giovanni the chef doing an excellent job. The meal was the best, the kind we might only have found in a Michelin star restaurant, and the desserts they served were delicious too. I’d certainly love to stay here again.

Dinner was beyond what I could have imagined. The chef and head waiter first take time to find out what you like, then the whole meal feels like magic. The hotel and restaurant are the best in Pozzallo, in my view. I was amazed by the attention to detail, the staff, the cleanliness, the elegance and the style. Everyone was extremely helpful and did all they could to make our stay the best possible. So glad we found this beautiful place, and I can’t wait to come back. Thank you so much!

The restaurant alone makes me want to stay again. Chef Giovanni’s Sicilian cooking was amazing, the seafood was fresh, and Maître David was so nice and made the meal a pleasure. Hotel 1921 is also less than a five minute walk from the beach, with a clean, spacious room and a great breakfast with lots of choice. Highly recommend it.
