Pousada Makuti

This turned out to be an absolute godsend. I booked after doing a little research and felt very lucky with the choice. The place sits among quiet fields, away from main roads, and the only sounds that might reach the room are birds singing. The room has what a couple needs, including a queen-size bed. The beach is about a 15-minute walk away, or you can borrow a bike for free. It's one of the best beaches I've ever seen, with clean, soft sand, clear water, and few people around. A bar and other services are nearby. The staff are lovely and help with anything you can think of. There are also three merry dogs and two lovely kittens. The place is run so well that you'll never want to leave. Thanks for this heaven-like week!

Kitesurfing with Arlos was wonderful, and the two weeks we spent here this summer left me feeling recharged. It’s a peaceful place surrounded by nature, with comfort too, and no kids around. The owners are lovely, always smiling and so friendly I felt I’d known them for years. I’m already looking forward to coming back next summer.

Marika and Carlo are on hand with helpful tips for making the most of a visit to the area. Carlo also runs a kitesurfing centre at Tiki Beach, nearby. We had a great stay, and breakfast was generous and vegan-friendly. A lovely spot to unwind.

A laid-back place with lovely rooms and a garden. The vegan breakfast was the best, too. Easily my favorite place to stay around here 😉
