Relais Villa Belvedere

We had a great week in a spacious, clean apartment with comfortable beds and lovely views across the landscape toward the lake. The facilities were good, especially the pools: one for relaxing and one for splashing around. Air conditioning was a godsend. Parking was good, though the entrance is tight; I saw cars bigger than ours get through, so it’s doable. For a luxury apartment, the bowls, glasses and kitchen gear felt a bit cheap. The plastic was practical, but didn’t feel luxurious. There was no poolside bar as advertised, and food and drink weren’t allowed by the pool, which was inconvenient, even if understandable. We weren’t told about any spa availability, which was a shame. The apartment is in a great spot for exploring this part of Italy, but we would have liked more information inside about things to do and places to see, instead of having to find the owner and ask each time.

Lake Garda looked stunning from here. It felt like paradise on earth, and I’ll be back as soon as I can!

We left after the first night of our five-night family stay at Relais Villa Belvedere. As a family of four, we were disappointed from the moment we arrived. The property seemed neglected, with weeds everywhere and materials left lying around. Many loungers beside the otherwise lovely pool were torn and dirty. Our room was very dark, dusty and uninviting, with no view, just industrial barracks. The single bed in a windowless area was far too small for anyone over 1.80m, so it was impossible to be comfortable. Noise was the main problem: the property is right by a busy road, trains ran even at night, and construction noise during the day badly interrupted our rest. Service left a lot to be desired, with no bar or welcoming terrace for relaxing or having a drink. We travel a lot and rarely complain publicly, and this is our first online review, but we want to warn others who might be similarly disappointed. The accommodation didn’t meet our expectations at all. To be fair, they did offer us another room when we arrived, but we still can’t recommend Relais Villa Belvedere.
