After our car broke down, we booked this place very spontaneously and ended up having the most relaxing two-day stay. The price was very fair, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The owner helped sort out our car problem and even arranged a ride to our destination. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay 🌞

I arrived in Genova by ferry on May 4, 2023, during a business trip by car through Europe. I was due to leave the next day and continue to Munich for a business meeting and display. I had already booked and paid for the room. When the ferry agency told me the ferry would be late, I let the manager know. Her message surprised me. She said she wanted to sleep at 23:00 and that next time I should book somewhere with a 24-hour front desk, though she said she would let me in. The ferry was running to its updated schedule, but it wasn't allowed to dock, so there were further delays. We messaged on WhatsApp from 21:00. At 23:38 she said she was going to bed and would close the gates. I got off the ferry at 23:46 and was only 40 minutes away. By the time I could stop, it was after midnight. The booking systems had switched the dates from 4-5 to 5-6, so I couldn't book online. I spent about half an hour looking for somewhere to sleep and found nothing. I have a lot of pain in my spine and am disabled because of a serious accident a year earlier. My car was full of expensive items, and I wanted a safe place to sleep so I could be rested for my Friday afternoon business meeting. Instead, I managed only an hour and a half of rest at a nearby gas station on a night when it was 6 degrees Celsius. I hope she slept well. She said she would contact me the next day, but I still haven't heard anything or received my accommodation payment back. She locked me, a physically disabled person, out so she could sleep an extra hour? Being late wasn't my fault, but she punished me for it. This manager is arrogant and unfit for hospitality. I can send pictures of the conversation if anyone needs proof. I still haven't received a refund for the accommodation.

We found this place on our drive south from Switzerland and felt lucky to have come across it. It’s very quiet despite being close to the autoroute, and the owner was an excellent hostess. We had both dinner and breakfast here.

The old farmhouse has a lovely, comfortable, clean, home-from-home feel. The host was welcoming, and the Italian home-style cooking was wonderful, made with products from the farm. I’d definitely recommend staying here and would come again.
