We especially loved the views across the valley, which were out of this world. Our attentive hosts made sure we had what we needed and helped with our questions. The bedrooms were roomy, with plenty of closet and drawer space to unpack and settle in, and the kitchen had all the pots and utensils we needed to cook together. We enjoyed sitting on the patio and exploring the surrounding hills, while our boys loved spotting insects and wildlife. The internet connection worked well throughout the house, so I could get some work done during our stay at Casale Coccinella.

The house is huge and spacious, with everything set up well for families, including stair gates. The garden pergola makes a lovely shady place to sit with a glass of wine. The mountain views are beautiful, and the setting is absolutely stunning. Food and drink nearby are delicious, grown locally and organic.

We had a great time relaxing at the spacious Casale Coccinella. The hosts are really friendly and help with anything you need. The scenery around it is beautiful, and after a walk there’s an infinity pool just around the corner where you can also get a great meal at the restaurant. What more could you ask for?

The farmhouse has been rebuilt with care, in a wonderfully peaceful setting, and the accommodation is spacious and comfortable. Bob and Judy are friendly, know the area well, and are hospitable while still giving you space. There’s a local restaurant just a short walk away, and plenty of nearby walks through the scenery and to the village. We visited lots of places by car and even squeezed in a 36-hour trip to Rome, taking the train from a nearby town. It made for a holiday within a holiday. A great escape overall!

There’s plenty to do nearby for every age: the village of Preci has a pharmacy, grocery shop, ATM, bar and restaurant, and the pools, games rooms, bar and restaurant, and kids’ clubs are only a five-minute walk away. The views from the property are breathtaking, too. Castle Cochinellais is a spacious, traditional farmhouse that comfortably fit our multigenerational family of 11. It had the modern comforts we needed to make family life easy. Bob and Judy were friendly and helpful, and glad to share what they know about the area.
