I booked in February after exchanging recorded messages with a woman named Mariella, who confirmed that a house was available. Based on that, I booked flights for three families, 13 people in all, and a car. Then in May I got a cancellation notice saying there had been an overbooking. I asked what had happened. Mariella said it was a portal error and other people had booked first, but when I asked for proof of an earlier booking, she refused. She also wouldn’t give me her full personal details or official contact information, and made no effort to find another place for three families with seven children. The most frustrating part was seeing Villa listed as available for the same dates on other portals after she cancelled my reservation for overbooking. Beware of a scam.

The villa is stunning, and the owners seemed welcoming and kind at first. But after we left, they came up with absurd reasons to keep the deposit and charge us for damage that didn’t exist. They even tried to scam us.
