We just got back after a terrible week in a really ugly residence in the middle of summer, with two children. We had no water, and the air conditioning either didn't work or, when it did, we couldn't access it. They said the sea was two minutes away, which is a load of rubbish because it takes more than 15 minutes. The owner was arrogant and rude. I wouldn't recommend it even to my worst enemy.

We had a comfortable stay in a welcoming, very clean place with everything we needed. The view is beautiful, and the beach is a 15-minute walk away. We'll come back.

I ended up staying in central Agropoli, 300 meters from the sea, in a nice room for €130 for two nights. The way this property handled my booking was dishonest and rude. I saw a two-night deal for €110 on Booking, but called to ask how far it was from Agropoli. They told me not to book through Booking and to reserve directly, so I agreed. When we went to confirm the €110 deal, they wanted €160 instead. I pointed out that their rooms were listed on their own website, Booking, and Trivago at €60 a day for a double room, with breakfast included. The man replied rudely that it was €160 without breakfast or nothing, adding that he had lots of other requests. I could have made trouble and booked the €110 offer through Booking, but he couldn't have stopped me. I chose to leave.

Breakfast was delicious, and the place felt brand new, clean, and welcoming. Mr. Antonio and his wife were so kind and helpful. They looked after us from the minute we arrived and gave us tips for making the most of our weekend. We'll definitely be back.
