Palazzo Gargano

I made the mistake of booking the wrong property because it has the same name as the hotel I meant to reserve. I take full responsibility. I only noticed on check-in day, when I was already very stressed and upset, but as soon as I found out, I contacted the hotel repeatedly to explain and ask to cancel or get at least part of my money back. We never entered the room, used anything, or stayed a night. Even so, the hotel wouldn’t offer any solution. I’m sure they could have resold the room soon after I told them, so they may well have been paid twice for the same booking. Mistakes happen, and a business’s response matters. Here there was no flexibility or goodwill, and I lost the money for a booking I couldn’t use despite giving notice as soon as possible. I’m deeply disappointed and wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

Prignano Cilento looks like something out of a storybook, and this was one of the loveliest places we’ve ever stayed. It’s a beautiful, intimate B&B, with the lovely Sylvana as host. Make sure to book a room with a balcony facing over Agropoli toward the sea. You won’t be disappointed.

Watching the sun go down from the terrace was breathtaking. Everything here felt like a 10/10, from the comfortable rooms to the renovation, which has been done with exquisite taste right down to the smallest details. Silvana, Clelia, and Julio gave impeccable service. Highly, highly recommend this unique place.

The pool and peaceful solarium have a breathtaking view, and the terrace is a wonderful place to watch the sunset with a delicious charcuterie board and homemade fig compote. Breakfast was generous, with both sweet and savory choices. Palazzo Gargano is full of charm and feels like a relaxing oasis in the Cilento hinterland. The owners’ kindness and warm, friendly welcome made us feel at ease right away. The rooms have all the comforts, from a super-comfortable bed to toiletries in the bathroom, something you don’t find at every B&B. See you next time, everyone! 🤗
