Giuseppina was helpful throughout our stay, even coming over to switch the air conditioners to heat. April days were warm, but the nights got chilly. The apartment at Casa Palazzo Merlato looks over the main port and has a gracious entry, living room, large kitchen, little laundry room, bathroom, and a bedroom with its own bathroom. Upstairs there’s another bedroom, then a few more steps to a room with a single bed and access to a very nice terrace. This was our third visit to Procida, and we’ll probably return in October, since we prefer to avoid the summer crowds. One thing to know: Procida isn’t convenient for people with physical limitations. All the apartments require climbing 30-50 steps, and the buildings are hundreds of years old, so wheelchair access isn’t possible.

We stayed for five nights and loved it. The apartment was very spacious with a beautiful sea view, and the hostess was so friendly. The location right by the port was great.

The apartment is in a historic building, Palazzo Merlato, which dates back to 1650, directly by the harbor on the first floor. It’s been beautifully renovated and furnished, with outdoor spaces and stunning sea views, and had all the comforts we needed for a relaxing stay. The location is very convenient: the ferry landing is opposite, the nearest beach is just 100 meters away, and the bus terminal is right outside. The historic center is a five-minute walk, with restaurants, bars, a delicatessen, and bike and scooter rentals nearby.

I’ve been coming to Procida for years, and this is the best house I’ve stayed in. I was there on August 23rd, and found it welcoming, spotless, and very well looked after. Great location and all the comforts.

We were two couples there for ten days at the end of August, and it was over far too soon. The staircase up to the property is steep, but after catching your breath, Mrs. Giuseppina greets you with such kindness and helpfulness. She gives you a quick introduction, then you can settle in and enjoy the space and comforts of the house.
