The wine van where you serve yourself is a lovely touch, and there’s a good range of wine. We also enjoyed the outdoor spa, with its small natural cold-water rock pool, sauna, big heated jacuzzi and larger pool. The vineyard view from our clean, modern but homey room was wonderful, and the thoughtful decor throughout made a strong impression. We booked a last-minute trip for my wife’s birthday after ChatGPT suggested some Italian vineyard stays with spas within reasonable reach of an airport. This place stood out among the options, and the recommendation was spot on. Everyone was welcoming, especially Marijn and Padma, who helped us a lot. There didn’t seem to be much nearby. One evening we walked about 30 minutes downhill to Lake Garda for drinks and dinner, though the route was a bit steep going down. Our only minor wishes were a broader beer selection at the honesty bars and some cocktails for my wife, who loves an Aperol spritz. We understand it’s a vineyard, though. We’d happily recommend the place and will probably return.

Conti Thun Wine Resort combines refined comfort with Italian charm and a real sense of being among the vineyards. The views are striking, and the details throughout feel carefully considered. There’s a lovely garden with plenty of spots to unwind. It’s a place where you can slow down, reconnect, and enjoy a more relaxed pace of life.

The staff looked after us well, the food was excellent, and our rooms were beautiful. We ate all our meals at the resort during our three-night stay, and both had massages too. We felt spoiled and couldn’t have asked for more.

The pool and garden were a highlight, with lots of room around the large pool and everything kept in great shape. It’s an easy place to relax with a drink. Our rooms were spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The resort has a calm, upscale feel without overdoing it. My one small suggestion would be to trade some of the relaxing room for more gym space and a few extra machines. Otherwise, everything was spot on. See you next year.
