Glemerald Hostel

It's a handy base for visiting Pula and the surrounding area, with free parking and very cheap rooms. The food was great too, and the owner is a Chef! The garden is gorgeous and well looked after, and breakfast was good. I'd definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for cheaper accommodation for a summer trip to Sardinia.

We had dinner here twice, mostly choosing the fresh, top-quality fish dishes. I especially loved the raw shrimp starter, the ravioli, and the mixed catch of the day cooked over the fire grill. The homemade carasau dessert was a special one, too. The service was very good, and they didn't miss a detail. I've rarely had this kind of quality at such affordable prices. Top notch!!!

The staff were young and really kind, and the prices are fairly affordable for such good food. Portions are huge: on one visit we shared two fried fish among four or five people, and another time we split a roast fish for two the same way. The first courses were delicious, and the desserts were superb, especially the "millefoglie con pane carasau caramellato" with all its fresh fruit. Hope we can do it again next year! Only drawback was all the mosquitoes. They should put "zampironi" around the place.

My boyfriend and I had dinner at Glemerald as well as enjoying the beautiful location and exceptional service. The restaurant can hold its own against many highly regarded places in the city center, and I actually thought it was a lot better. Highly recommended, and we're looking forward to coming back soon!
