IzzHome Colonial

The garden was one of the main reasons we picked this house, but its two patios were neglected, and our request for cushions went unanswered even though the chairs were barely usable without them. The sticky dishes needed washing before we could use them, and the cabinets, cupboards, and drawers smelled strongly musty. It all gave an impression of neglect. There were practical problems too. The refrigerator didn't work when we arrived, though it was replaced about 48 hours later. The listing included a microwave that wasn't there, and we also couldn't find basics like a broom or mop. The bedrooms had no electrical outlets. Air conditioning in the separate rooms couldn't run at the same time without the power going out, so we had to rely on dehumidification. That's a difficult limitation for a house advertised for multiple guests, especially in summer. The property has real potential given its location and features. I mean this as feedback to help improve it, not just as criticism. An older home can have charm, but old shouldn't mean neglected. Better maintenance and cleaning, and making sure what's promised is actually provided, would make a big difference.
