Sogno di Mare

The location worked well for us: parking right by the house, a 20-30 minute walk to the beach, and only a few minutes into Pula's center. There are restaurants, bars and gelaterias there, plus a great pizza place about five minutes away and good restaurants nearby. We ate at Lobinas Restaurante and really enjoyed the seafood and pasta with a glass of wine. Giuseppe and Marina are lovely owners who clearly care a lot about the place. Everything feels new or nearly new, and our room was spotless and well prepared. It had air conditioning, a balcony or garden, a TV, a hair dryer, shower gel and shampoo. Each apartment even has its own section of the fridge. Breakfast was so generous we couldn't finish it: fresh fruit salad, baguettes with butter and marmalade, sweet pastries, juice and homemade cappuccino or coffee. Giuseppe grows figs too, so there may be some at breakfast depending on the season. After staying in self-catering apartments on earlier trips to Sardegna, I'd choose a room here whenever I can. I'll definitely be back.

The owners were friendly, and this is a handy base for driving to the beach beyond Ghia. Make time for the old town (5000 JvC) too. Pula is a pleasant city with plenty of restaurants to choose from.

I really liked how peaceful things were during my early autumn stay, and the owner made us feel very welcome. He was also happy to accommodate our dietary needs at breakfast. The room was comfortable. Getting around is easy from here. There's a convenient parking lot next door, a CRAI supermarket nearby that stays open until 11:00 PM, and the town center is a short walk away. In summer, the center surely has more activities. Several seaside towns and cultural sites are reachable in a few to around 20 minutes by car if you drive slowly. I'm happy to recommend Sogno di Mare to anyone wanting a pleasant few days in Sardinia and a comfortable place to come back to in the evenings.
