This is a quiet, comfortable place in one of the hamlets of the municipality of Pulfero, just a few kilometers from the Slovenian border. It’s a small family-run hotel overlooking the Natisone River, with a bar, tobacconist, and restaurant. The rooms are simple and clean, with everything needed. The restaurant serves good-quality food at a reasonable price, without the often-unjustified airs of top chefs. The trout is the house specialty and well worth trying.

The setting is beautiful and the service is friendly, but the food quality was poor. The zampone di poche was served as cotechino, the brovada seemed to be of dubious origin, and the vegetables were cooked like hospital food.

The food is delicious and top-notch, and Patrizia and her daughter Cristina manage the hotel impeccably. It has a panoramic position overlooking the Natisone River. Highly recommended!
