Dimora Clementina

Caterina waited for our late arrival, booked us a last-minute dinner, and then put out a fantastic breakfast, the best of our 10-day trip. We were there for the first night of our vacation, before the bike trip Puglia Cycle Tours had booked for us.

Breakfast was a daily treat, with ripe, delicious fruit, fresh coffee and juice, local cheese and cured meats, plus cakes and bread that gave us a taste of Puglia. The spread changed a little each morning, and the china and linens were lovely. The amazing part? The hotel's wonderful host, Caterina, was the baker. Before we left, she also suggested a restaurant near our next hotel, and we liked it enough to eat there twice. We were traveling with our school-aged child and a good friend. The hotel worked out the best rooms for us and met us even though we were an hour late. Our room, #3, was beautiful, clean, neat, and tidy, with a high arched ceiling and a balcony over the main street. That week, we could see the Carnival festivities. The stunning tile floor was a cool contrast with the modern furniture and lights. From check-in to the delicious-smelling shampoo and quality slippers, every detail felt thoughtful and kind. We felt welcomed even before entering the courtyard. Caterina also booked dinner for us on the evening we arrived, and that meal was the best we'd had in five days in Italy. Dimora Clementina in Putignano was one of my best hotel stays ever. We felt so pampered. Three nights wasn't enough, and if I could give it more stars, I would. If you're planning to visit Puglia, consider making it your home base.

We first booked seven nights at Dimora Clementina, then added two more because we loved it so much. Caterina is the loveliest host we've ever had, so kind and accommodating. The rooms, decor, staff, and breakfast were all exceptional, with lactose-free options too. We fell for Putignano and Dimora Clementina, and can't wait to return. Nothing will top this!

We're really glad we chose to stay here. The rooms are modern and designed for comfort, the location is good, and the breakfast is a great start to the day. We also got excellent advice whenever we needed it.
