Villa Morea

Our children came down with chickenpox just before we were due to travel, so we had to cancel because of this unexpected medical emergency. We contacted the host right away, apologized for the trouble, and asked for a refund one day after the official deadline, providing photos as evidence. Given that we couldn’t travel for health and safety reasons, we hoped for some understanding, but the host wasn’t willing to make an exception. We were told there might be an additional refund if the dates were booked again, but nothing beyond the usual partial cancellation policy was offered. We know policies exist for a reason, but a little empathy matters, especially when children are sick. It was disappointing, and we hope other guests have better luck.

The property is still well regarded for its peaceful setting and generous space, enough to host even large groups. It’s an old manor house on a large plot, with a pool and solarium. The villa must once have been splendid, judging by its appearance and finishes, though later renovations seem to have missed the mark in preserving its original charm.

A beautiful villa in a natural setting, just right for a quiet, relaxing holiday. Putignano is very close, and the sea is about 25 minutes away. The host is really friendly and always available if you need anything.

The huge garden around Villa Morea makes it easy to unwind among nature, and the bright, well furnished rooms can accommodate several guests. It feels like home, thanks in part to the welcoming, helpful owner. The villa is also well placed for sightseeing or a restful break: Capitolo’s crystal clear sea is a 20 minute drive away, Alberobello is just 10 minutes away, and other cities in Puglia are easy to reach. I highly recommend Villa Morea.
